What do you ENJOY?

I really enjoy having a little funky house. I enjoy everything from keeping it in sound condition (it's 70 years old) figuring out ways to make it more energy efficient to decorating it! I enjoy having a yard with both a veggie garden (want to extend it) to planting and caring for flowers. I even enjoy mowing the lawn and weeding! Even though I hate to paint (mostly because of arthritis), I still like playing with color to come up with rooms that feel comfortable and have the best use of natural light.

Yup, sometimes (especially lately), I feel a bit of the mortgage burden, but, this little place is my palace and I hope I do get to eventually do the remodeling and other things I have thought about. I am a home body and feel centered here. I like to put around and fix stuff and I am really enjoying having time available to work on my place since retiring. Now, if the recession would actually recover, I would be able to do more. I would like a lover to become part of this little place... well, one that lives close by.... Except, as in the past, she can have the spare bedroom to decorate as her own and tell me to get the hell out of it, if she wants. same goes for me in my room....

I just enjoy having a home to call my own. Even when I think about new roofs or drain pipes.
