It has been 2 weeks since I quit smoking and I have been nicotine free for one day. I was worried last night because after a LONG week at work, I drank a couple glasses of sangria. I was worried that would trigger me to smoke. My son's boyfriend smokes...so I know I could easily get one, but I didn't and I didn't even have the craving. I know I have to be really careful...drinking is a huge trigger for me...luckily I don't drink often!
Fantastic! You're on the way. I personally don't believe we should avoid others that smoke whilst we quit; it's something we have to deal with if we have smokers in our lives...that sure is the case for me...giving up in a false microcosm of non-smokingness isn't real, ultimately we have to go out and about and deal with smokers, might as well do it from day one. Does that make sense? Sure seeing others smoke can be a trigger but that's when our self talk about positive choices kicks in.
You did real good!

WooooHoooooo! Day 9, see how fast those days build up. There are many hard moments to come but as the days pass your coping strategies develop and become stronger until not having a cig becomes the norm rather than the exception.
May the force be with y'all
ps. Day 13
