I learned to knit, a combination of the book, "stitch n bitch".. Highly highly recommend and Youtubes and knitting circles ! People tend to teach
 If you are in NYC or near..join the Dyke Knitting Club, once a month o r a Knitting circle at SAGE , once a week..  or many others but I like a Queer flavor
