Got up at 3:30a.m., went to the bathroom ... then went to the kitchen and fixed a large coke with lots of ice.

Though I was in bed, I have not been to sleep all night. No worries. I am certain we will get the word from our governor that we may leave work at noon. All I have to donis swing by the grocery store and pick up a 4 or 5 pound roast to cook Kevie and Jennifer. They get extra good eats on holidays. Plus Santa has some nice loot for their surprise presents.

(pooches are so easy to please)

Listening to a version of Mary Did you Know that makes me melancholy. The holidays are as sad for me as they are happy. We light candles for the people we're missing, but it doesn't always help.

Just laying in bed on my phone thinking about family stuff as usual. I have sweet little boys to make Christmas breakfast for in the morning but my sleep schedule is messed up and it's so hard to sleep.
