Sunday Morning Overeasy!

Good Sunday morning!

The skies are sunny and blue here too, and it's 48* outside. Almost all of our pretty dusting of snow has melted, and it will probably be completely gone by this evening.

Doing laundry and cleaning the kitchen today. I'll be finishing up _Nurse Jackie_ - only 3 episodes left. Kinda sad, because this has been such a great show, but also because I know it can only end badly. The writers have been very up front for all 7 seasons, and I just know Jackie will come to a bad end, however much I may wish for her to make a turnaround and get everything right in the end. Tonight I'll need to find a new show to binge watch.

Wow, it's almost 4:30pm? I guess I miss Ed the Sunday morning Overeasy by a few hours, huh? I spent all morning shoveling snow! I realized by noon that I would never get my big driveway done by myself and even if I did, I still could not make it down the looooong gravel lane to get out on the main road

So I had to break down and pay the farmer $150 to plow the lane and my driveway so I could get out. I swear as soon as I pay off my car, I'm trading it for a 4 wheel drive vehicle!!!!!! LOL! I was under the impression when we bought this land back here that everyone chipped in and paid the farmer to plow the long lane? That is what they told me. But today they said "Oh we have 4 wheel drive, we don't need to pay him to come". Well we DONT and I have to be to work tomorrow, plus with my spouse disabled I have to be able to get out to take her to all her doc appts, therapy, etc.Oh well, I'm thankful I had the money on hand and I was able to get out today.

Good morning! Woke up feeling pretty hopeful and not so down. Making scrapple and eggs for breakfast. After clean up and helping my spouse get her shower I will just chill until i have to leave for work this afternoon. Anyone else working an 8 HR shift today or am I the only one? Feels like it sometimes! LOL!!

What is scrapple? I'm not familiar with that term.

Scrapple is basically PIG PARTS. After slaughtering the pig and cutting up the parts, the stuff that is left, the ears, the tail, basicallybwhatever is left that can't be used. They take the left overs and grind it up, then mix it with cornmeal and spices and form it into big blocks. U then fry till crispy and enjoy!!!!! Scrapple is an acquired taste, for sure! I hated it as a kid but love it now. It has a lot of carbs so I'm careful to only have a small piece since I'm back on lowcarb.

The kitties and I woke up early. I watched CBS Sunday Morning News and chatted with friends. I am fixing to have waffles for breakfast then head outside to work.

Happy Sunday, everyone. Mine will be nice and easy. I just returned from grocery shopping. Will prepare some food for next week's lunches (I like making slow-cooking oatmeal every morning). Give myself a mani/pedi. Read some papers and mags online. Maybe catch a movie. Watch the talking heads talk about the Iowa caucus.
