Sale, but plan ahead so you have it when you need it

Is it better to buy a good quality item so it lasts longer, or cheaper lower quality and having to buy/replace often

I had a black lab that ate the baby gate, and then chewed up my pretty carpet. Notice I said "had"

If you mean regular shopping then it's better to shop when it's less crowded but if your shopping is specific and time sensitive, like holiday shopping, then shop early.
