While we see an extremely small amount of foliage change here, and even less of a temperature change, what we do get with arrival of fall is an abundance of fall/winter crops starting to show up in the markets. Winter squashes, the big ass Florida avocados, carambola (star fruit), eggplant, various peppers and a fresh crop of tomatoes. It is the beginning of our citrus season as well, what's left of it anyway.
I also look forward to some of the local fall festivals, and the knowledge that we only have a couple more months of hurricane season left.

Our backyard fire pit. We enjoy sitting out back, relaxing, discussing our day. Sometimes a drink or a snack is being enjoyed as well. And ahhhh....the sound of the trains passing.

The changing colors, the cooler weather, but a really sunny warm day now and then, making chili, enjoying the wine harvest, wearing jeans again, planning for the holidays, baking more, getting out the flannel nightgowns, bonfires, and fresh apples!

this morning windy and cool..getting ready to go out and rake my very favorite autumn leaf-maple..i will love working under a maple leaf canopy but a sad too..the leaves are beginning to fall which means
