I have kept a little shrine to my Grandmother for years. I have a photo of her from the 40s and she had on the cutest little dress that had sparrows on each shoulder. Super pin-up style!
I also have a china dish that I broke the lid on when I was 3 and she painstakingly glued it back together. It isn't worth anything, just memory and history. I burn candles for her and sometimes leave little things I think she might like. Her voice is still pretty loud in my heart. <3

the older I get, the more at home I feel on earth. I have always been a wanderer geographically, career wise, relationships, emotionally...but not so much anymore. I am very settled and grounded and while I still reach up toward the sky, my roots are very deep...
