my almost three year old grand daughter is learning to be potty trained. It just cracks me up and brings me such joy when I see her jump up from the toys and yell..."BUBI...I GOTTA GO!"
she looks like Shirley Temple with bouncing golden locks and is so adorable as she sits on her potty reading Little Golden Books. LOL

My new little kitty.
Got an out of the blue text from my boss yesterday asking if I was interested in a stray she rescued from a tree (with the help of the fire department) that morning. Said she'd been up in the tree for over a day and attached a photo. It was love at first sight for us. We met her at the vet where she'd taken her to get checked out and shots. Wouldn't let us pay the vet bill. We brought her home and she settled right in which was a surprise. Almost like this had been her home all along. She's a Calico and about 10 months old which means her birthday was in May, just like my late baby's. Makes me think about something I read not too long ago about how a new fur baby is sent to us by our pet who passed when they know our time of mourning should come to an end and it's time for a new fur baby to come into our lives. She is truly a gift...a blessing, if you will and all is well in our world again |

Random man walked into my work today and donated a check for $10,000. He said we are doing the work of god. Whatever his reasoning... thank you thank you thank you. We need it badly.
My daughter has a friend sleeping over. They showed up in hounds tooth stretch pants, a polka dot tank top, a lace over shirt, a plaid flannel over that, a hoodie over that, and their dreads are dyed black, white, and green. Now both teens are upstairs eating junk food and laughing themselves to tears. |

I was using the self check out at the library today and they added a new feature to the checker outer machine. It pops up an alert of how much money you saved by using the library system rather than buying the book AND tells you how much money you have saved in the current calendar year. I've saved a lot of money! What a fun feature.

I took my three year old grand daughter to her first horse and tack auction. She sat for FIVE hours during the sale, waiting until 1130PM for the horses to come out (tack sells first, and its an evening sale) omg...she was almost falling asleep until they rigged the area up for the horses. She clapped her hands and held them to her face and her eyes widened...she giggled and sparkled and squealed...everyone around us was SO enjoying her reaction. people remarked over and over how wonderful it was to see someone so young be so in love with horses!
She got a horse brush, a new helmet, a pony saddle blanket and some flowers at the auction. This kid is SO my kid! LOL. It does bring me great joy to have a grand child who loves horses so much. She came to us this way...all we did was put her together with them. I am so glad we kept her pony, Tull. (as in Jethro)

To me that's exactly what home should be. I'm hypersensitive and I can't dwell or thrive very well in a place that is always noisy, hectic or chaotic. There's enough of that in the outside world and I cherish the ability to control if all I want to hear is the calming breeze, birds and trees outside.
