I am drinking a smoothie and watching My Little Chickadee with Mae West and W.C. Fields. It is full of great one liners, such as: "I generally avoid temptation, unless I can't resist it". Amen!

Hello & Good Morning.....
On the first Sunday of September
 I don't have anything special planned for today, other than rest and enjoy a new book, which was given to me by a very special someone. Last night, I stayed up late reading from The Help (Kathryn Stockett, 2009). I came across an amazing section about Skeeter, where she received an reply back from a senior publishing editor, trying to find her first job as an recent college graduate. Elaine Stein said to Skeeter, and I quote: "Write about what disturbs you, particularly if it bothers no one else." I SO resonate with that way of thinking and type writing.  In other news, *lol*, I came across two other worthwhile quotes to think upon: "You must stay 'drunk' on writing so reality cannot destroy you" (Ray Bradbury). And because it's nearly the advent of the Fall season, here's a beautiful thought for the day: "Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the Autumn tree" (Emily Brönté). Wishing everyone a VERY lovely Sunday!

Hi all, it's Sunday and the island is a little gloomy... I listened to a really good meditation since I missed church due to sleeping in... then I decided to make it a "me" day...
So I've done some self care, facial, deep conditioner to my hair, long shower, a bit of laundry, replaced the toner in my printer, updated some files and apps...made some "sopa" with chicken and pasta for the family and now watching movies and playing on here. I've been busy doing me today... I did stay in bed longer than I usually do but once I was up, I was up!

Mellow Sunday...
It has been a lovely Sunday. Spent sometime in bed just reading and relaxing. Then woke up, got semi ready.
Listened to some lovely Sunday morning Jazz as I made vanilla cinammon pancakes, three cheese omelette, fresh fruit salad, and brewed some Black chai roobois tea with steamed milk. Enjoyed brunch with my parents and sister. Preparing ceviche for dinner. Have a wonderful week everyone  |
