Old people are supposed to be wise, so if an old person behaves foolishly, it is worse than a young person behaving foolishly. Used to say that a foolish old person is especially foolish because an old person should have learned from experience not to make the same mistakes.

Homoe, what about phrases of thought which are only uttered through mnemomic device ....like the hook signature melody from the movie, Jaws???

Mnemonic Device (definition): Techniques an person uses to help improve one's ability to remember. It's an memory technique to help your brain to better encode and recall important information.

No words are spoken. Yet, in particular cases, the hook signature line of an orchestral arrangement, in this case it's from the movie Jaws, which invokes the signal that there is something scary going on--- something that isn't always readily seen by the human eye.

Ella Wheeler Wilcox is an very favorite author and poet. She's simply got a very special lens by which her prose and poetry comes forth. I really enjoy her works of literature and appreciate her wisdom...

Cream rises to the top of milk, which always fascinated me as a young girl because milking cows on our dairy farm took up early morning and late afternoon's, which didn't leave much time for anything else. BUT,,,,,, the idiom cream of the crop largely refers to the best of the best ..... Crème de la Crème.
