Been a looooong time since I’ve been here. So much has happened. Please light a candle for my family, my Mom has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. I’m absolutely devastated. My wife’s oldest daughter died of liver cancer last year and she’s still working through that, lost a grandchild to a drug overdose, my wife had another stroke, the list just goes on and on. Please pray for me

i miss my mom so much..for my parents

Lighting a virtual candle for my friend, Ms. Camilla, who is 99(?) years old and has pneumonia. She's been in the hospital for a week and they tell me she's getting better with each day—her family is amazed she's come this far.

Up until last month she was still dying her hair herself, but they took away her driving privileges about a year ago when she broke her pelvis bone. Though, she refuses to sell her car because she's determined to drive again. I'd gladly go for a ride with her.

Here's hoping she's back home soon.

I’m just here to light candles for those of us who are struggling with health issues and for those of us in our country who are not white and face scary times, worrying if we’ll be picked up and sent to horrid private prisons where no one will ever find us and for people across the world who have no food or health safety or are being killed because people hate them and want their land as if it’s theirs to have and also lighting candles for those whose lives have been upended by losing their jobs because of a hateful person who (…).

It’s just so scary right now.

Nobody seems to care.

I’m lighting candles for all that is wrong in the world with faith and hope that we will all unite against the atrocities that are committed every second of every day and night.

Yesterday, after last week’s round of medical tests in the nuclear medicine and radiology departments at my chosen hospital, the pharmacy filled two medicines my cardiologist ordered for me. One medicine helps with the severe chest pressure caused by my heart’s electrical issues in the upper chamber of my heart. The other medicine will supposedly keep me from having a stroke during the times that my hearts’ upper chamber is fielding serious electrical troubles: this medicine, Eliquis 5 mg tablet — 90 day supply, was billed against my Medicare policy for $2,184.49. I nearly had a ‘stroke’ when I saw the cost of that life saving medication.

Anyway, I’m here to light a few candles for myself and others who are navigating medical issues. May we all remain in the best of health possible. May our bank accounts not suffer such economic travesties. May our health care systems across our nation not succumb to the plundering of our best chance of survival during super serious assaults on our (…).
