Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Navy Pier 600 E. Grand Avenue. Wave Wall Performance Platform, located adjacent to the Ferris Wheel. In the event of rain, the event will be held inside Navy Pier’s Food Experience near Ben & Jerry’s. This is a free event.


Experience performances by some of Chicago’s greatest artists with and without disabilities in music, dance, art, storytelling and more while witnessing firsthand the impact of access and inclusion in their community. A special guest performance by Avett Ray, a seven-year-old piano prodigy and YouTube sensation who happens to be visually impaired and has appeared on national television including American Idol.

I am not familiar with Latin cuisine so I was dependent on my dining companion when it came to ordering! It was good, whatever it was she ordered, but what really sticks in my mind was this dessert we ended up splitting!

They bill themselves as A glamorous destination for elevated American fare & cocktails with a mid-century gambling theme. I must say I've seen more glamorous places on my travels around the city but this place was nice enough. The menu had some interesting items but we stuck with just the cocktails which really packed a punch! Bartenders were accommodating with helpful suggestions seeing this was our first time there.

There is outside seating for those who enjoy that, but we sat inside at the bar to soak up the ambiance.
