Not partnered now, but this is actually a topic I've talked with my counselor about.
I don't think I could stand someone exactly as I am, even if that's realistic. I hope we would be different in the ways that the other has to grow; she would be more emotional so I could learn to communicate my feelings, I could help with her logical side. Of course, you need some things in common, both in personality, character, and interests. Otherwise, how would a relationship get off the ground? I suppose there's possibly lust at the start, but a relationship based solely on lust won't work long term. I think the "opposites" who attract one another actually have enough in common to stick together, and there's that "C"-word: compromise! I'm aiming for the sweet spot where compromises don't undermine the entire relationship, but make it spicier!
