Practically most of my adult life, my weight has yoyo’d up and down for what seems like ages (5 decades or more).
What seems to help me the most is a strand of thought by Steve Maraboli, in his book Life, the Truth, and Being Free: Quote:
This strand of thought by Steve Maraboli has helped me so much in letting go of the notion that using the scale to measure my weight is only helpful in the smallest of ways. The biggest change, for me, has been to let go of using the scale to define what weight loss looks like on my body frame. When I frame my life with positivity, by acknowledging my own worth outside of the scale, then life and happiness is truly mine to enjoy.
