Praying For A Cure

There seems to be a never-ending to this continuous pain,
it's taking such a toll on them,
it makes them insane.

There are days they feel well and other days they don't,
wishing it would subside,
living on hope.

The discomfort is so intense it makes them feel sedated,
not realizing it continues for hours,
how time has just faded.

This proceeds to happen and we can't figure out why,
as they lay there motionless,
ready to die.

We would like for this dilemma to go away and for you to become strong,
you're so drained from this suffering,
and can't carry on.

Keeping a positive outlook trying to win this war,
for those facing this deadly disease,
we are hoping for a cure.

I bow my head and ask for this favor,
as I begin to pray,
to my one and holy savior.
