you know you are in hell when....

when you discover that the options you have are to stay in a crazy-making situation to be with your loved ones. to leave would be to break a promise you made to yourself that no matter how hard it gets, you're not leaving. and to leave would be to destroy your identity that you have built over years. hell is when you have to fight not to BECOME as crazy as the people that made the situation are. hell is feeling like you have to choose between that fear and the fear that if you stay, you will spend the years you are still healthy enough to leave wondering every day if you should...hell is being so isolated for so long that you have no-one to help, should you decide to leave. hell i know.
