4 weeks?? That seems awfully long time. Something like this is a 30 min job.

By pushed-down, do you mean it's under the casing? If so, this may or may not be something you can resolve. Laptops tend to be a little more of a challenge. I'd say that using some tape to cover the hole and continue using the USB mouse should be fine.

Yes that is exactly what has happened.. First it was loose on the far left side.. now it is pushed under the case... So I agree with you about the tape.. Thats what I thought about doing.. Thanks!!

The 4 week thing... its just because they dont do that kind of thing inhouse.. So unless something else goes wrong that will be my plan. Thanks again...

I don't know if this is the right question to ask in the right place...
if not, do ignore me...I wish I could often, ignore myself that is!

I am working on two applications for shows...one I can't seem to do at all dure to the pictures not being the right size (although SF offered to try and help me out so I emailed her one to see what we can see)

my question is about the other one for which I have to burn a CD...I managed to get the pictures onto the CD, though I have not burned it yet...will the titles I put on the CD, under the icon for the pictures, show up on the screen when they are viewed?...and, in what order will the pictures show up?...how can I get them to view in the order I want?

if those are questions I can ask here, thanks...I hope they made sense...I tend to talk too much, and especially when I'm in crazy-nina space, into which I entered many hours ago!

Applications? Do you mean something you are submitting or programs? If you need help with resizing I can help with that if SF gets too busy.

You could do a PowerPoint presentation that is just the images. There are also picture viewing programs (like Irfan) that can do "Slideshows" in the order you want. Depending on what program you use the names may or may not be showing.

I have to thank you, indeed....I didn't understand a Thing you said, below...but it made me laugh aloud, something I have Not done since 5 am this morning when I awoke to try and get this done 'in an hour' or so...really...still smilin' here...

I just need to, somehow, send a CD with 5 pictures of my bags...I just thought that the 'name' of the bag could somehow be seen, like under the picture...but, it's not a big deal...the order is more important, but I think I will just burn one and see what order it shows up in, then I can make yet another disk with the pictures as I want them to be shown...ha!! at least I hope I can...

as for resizing them, I don't know that it can be done in this life time...I am not, as you might have gathered, a computer-guy (sic)... :)

Yes, you can name them under it. So you could call them like the following:

nina-fancy-bag-1.jpg
nina-super-fancy-bag-2.jpg
etc..

Use a number in the name to indicate order.

I'm looking into connecting both my computer towers to one monitor. I have researched this and the best answer *I* see is the KVM switch.

Do you have any suggestions, or ideas?
