Tuff is my R/L nickname given to me by my Pa(grandfather).
A horse stepped on my foot breaking the bone in the top. That grumpy old man looked at me and said "You better not cry, girl." I didn't shed a tear even when they set and casted it. He started saying "Thats one tough girl." It got shortened to Tuffgirl...then later to Tuff. When I was a few years older I read a book with a charcter called Tuffarious. To this day I still can't remember who the arthur was or what the book was called (if anyone knows PLEASE tell me it's driving me nuts). And now that I'm about to transition I decided to adopt Tuffarious as my legal name. It just kinda seemed to go together.
