The Tuetons believed that alliteration aided magic, not only were the Runes their alphabet they were sung to increase the power of their magic...so I wrote this as part of a short story published probably 10 years ago as part of a song, sung by the Goddess Skuld to her Priestess. Mixing the Rune, the meaning...
“Fehu, feminine fees of funcidity. Uruz, universal utterance of unity. Thurisaz, thorny threads of thunder. Ansuz, airy auras of atmosphere. Raitho, rooted roads of riders. Kenaz, kenning kindled of kin. Gebo, great gathering of gifts. Wunjo, winsome wishes of wonder. Hagalaz, haggard helm of hail. Nauthiz, needed navel of necessity. Isa, icy iron of icicles. Jera, yearning yield of years. Eiwaz, everlasting emancipation of energy. Pertho, perfect predictions of power. Algiz, elder era of aegis. Sowulo, sowing strength of sun. Teiwaz, tested trials of time. Berkana, bold beauty of birthing. Ehwaz, everlasting energy of equine. Mannuz, mindful memory of mothers. Leguz, languid locution of lakes Inguz, inner intuition of inspiration. Othila, open opportunity of ownership. Dagaz, dewy daylight of dawn."
