What's Happening in Austin

Oh, boy.

I hope Janey doesn't kill me but I thought I'd throw this out there so folks could check their plans and, hopefully, Ebon and I don't wind up breaking our backs or worse.

Our lease is up at the end of February. We went carousing today and found what might be a reasonable place for us. We'll know for sure in a couple of weeks or so.

We could really use some help moving the last weekend in February.

Which is Diva's birthday weekend celebration.

I can probably do the smaller stuff by myself over a few days' time and I might be able to use the truck at work for minimum cost if we need to, but it would be a tremendous help if someone was free to help with the larger pieces of furniture and whatnot. I know there will bunches of folks at Diva's party, and we hope to make it there at one point too, but any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe some of us could help You on Saturday morning intead of the regular pedi extravaganza...........You could have my van for the day............but You can't have Blu cuz He's putting in my backsplash on the other side of the kitchen!!!

I had already talked to my boss about possibly either being off that Saturday or only working the first half of the day for your party. Now, I guess I'll just go ahead and put a request in for the whole day off. That way, we'd be able to move AND visit with you!

From Soccer Van to Movin' Van....

When I take out the 2 middle seats, there's a LOT of room to use in that thing! I'll put a tank o' gas in it and You'll be good to go! Where are You movin'????? It had BEST be close-ish to ME! I'll not havin' Y'all move to the north country!

Okes, ever'body....

Just got off the phone with Oiler and he suggested that we go to the Fudd's in Cedar Park...which ONLY makes sense, since we're goin' up there ANYway, right?

So here's the addy:

He said it's right around the corner, which is ~ of course ~ a big ol' LIE....there are apts right around the corner. And basketball courts.

But it's close~by.

I have 6x16 foot trailer with 4 foot sides on it, that you will be able to move your whole apartment in one load and if that is not enough I also have a 4x8 trailer @ NO $$ to you. You get the lift help, I have the vehicles! Just saying!!

That is absolutely fantastic and we will DEFINITELY take you up on your offer. We are still in the looking phase, but there's a place that we are both liking from the outside. Next week, we'll have a couple of units free to look at. I'm crossing my fingers on this one, because it's super close to my work and it's just beautiful there. It's on 290 E and not an unreasonable distance away.

I'm not cut out to commute. Or maybe I just don't make enough to make it worthwhile to me. Either way, it's angering both me and the car. This place is, if worse comes to worst, close enough that I can walk to work. It'll take me ages, but at least it's a straight shot up the road.

Actually, the good thing about us is that most of the stuff is already IN boxes and containers. There's not enough room for me to unpack (hence my intense desire to move to a larger place) so half my stuff is still boxed and in the corner.

Thank you for making sure I got a piece of pie, Wil. At least, I think it's pie. I see a lump on the stove. I'm going to hope that it's your pie and not spare body parts or Aunt Edna's steeped liver and onions.

LOL,,and I thought he was still here, lol. I didn't hear any ummmm,,sounds, coming from his room so I thought perhaps he was cured,,,I went to bed 3ish and things were still going strong!

Agreed! It's always great to see good friends! It's 11 a.m. and I'm the first one up! I'm really not sure how long the evening went on,,but breakfast will be served sometime after lunch, lol. And clearly, I have to brush up on my Wii frisbee,,as for A to A, I still think Gila Monsters are Chewy,,don't you??? Great fun everyone,,let's do this again soon!
