What brought me joy today?
Following a morning of yoga and a walk along the bayfront I decided to shop a little for someone quite special to me. I visited several small shops downtown and near the shore. I found a few objects she might hold dear to her as she makes a sacred journey. The sunshine was so bright and warm and my choices for her seemed to encompass that warmth. They shall be wrapped with care and tenderness and sent on their way for her to open and embrace them. I wish I could ship peace, joy, compassion, love and warmth through the mail to her. That is really what I wanted to do.

waking up as I nod off, from a crazy day spent with Drs and needles and foaming crystals and huge machines and long car rides.
As I wake up, I am covered in my fleece blankie and precious kitty is on my feet. Old girl newfie is at my side. The firnace is humming to keep me warm andmy body is begging for my wonderful magical bed. the furnace has stopped. Its cycle is over. My eyelids are so heavy. Old girl newfie looks up as if she knows that means it s time to do something. It is time to move.... say good nite Gracie... Good Nite Gracie... thank gooodness for another day......

I got peanut butter suet for the woodpeckers and cardinals. They just love it. Now the 3 cats are all sitting in front of the french doors watching the birds at the various feeders. Their tails and heads go back and forth like a tennis match. Just adorable. |

its another day and the coffee was made and drunk. The animals fed and loved on. The house is cleaned and provided me with love and security in return. If anything I have learned in this life is that each day brings not just "more of the same" but "more of the good" as long as we seek it. Joy is there no matter what. Yesterday I was having labor pain type spasms on the way home in the van trip back from Cleveland Clinic. Today, no memory of it as I sip my last cup of coffee, cherishing my curled up kitty at my feet. Live as you want to live. Not as you fear it.

The past two weeks the little girl scout girls have been coming door to door to sell those wonderful cookies so they can get a badge....I have purchased cookies from EVERY single one of them that knocks on my door but have been so good. I have given away all the cookies....until today this little girl had a better marketing strategy. Her parents purchased all the cookies upfront so she had everything on hand....of course I could not resist another sweet girl scout who wants her badge so bad. She had such a defeated look on her face LOL I got suckered and bought her last 20 boxes ......this time I did open one box of thin mints yum!
Needless to say I have some kind of will power....they are all in the garage now! I need to donate these somewhere or give them out ASAP! |
