Oh, and I have to give a major THANK YOU to that Ebon/Gemme group. At the last minute, with no warning, they hopped in the car and came to our house to dogsit (even thinking they'd have to stay overnight) because we got stuck in snow and slush and canceled flights yesterday.
Now, there are some friends (or suckers. We may have promised more than we could deliver.). We started with who was closest and figured we'd move further out as people were unavailable/working/not home etc. but we didn't have to go further than the closest ones! Never mind that the neighbor decided to cancel his plans and stay with our pups. I think they had a party in our honor. And, I have to say, my eyes are permantly stuck up in my head from rolling them at all the hipsters in ultra-expensive designer shabby clothes hooking up on the plane because they're all going to "south-by". Le sigh-by.
