hearing that final percolation means it's ready to pour.

Watching the kittehz...while they watch the birdies through the door.
They wanna play, but I'm not so sure the birdies will play back.

Laughing with the guy at repair dispatch this afternoon... "What seems to be the problem?" he said.

"My furnace is whining." *embarrassed laugh* "Well, after this past week, I'm kinda whining too, but I think someone had better look at the furnace."

"What do you mean; what does it sound like?"

"It makes a sound like this..." *whines low in throat*

"OHHH you mean like "NOOOOOO I don't wanna work todayyyyy!!!'.... oh wait. That was me."

Then we got into it about my Harvest Gold stove that keeps overheating... "those colors from the seventies!" he said, all aghast, "...you mean it WASN'T just the drugs?!"
