i confess to picking a giant grapefruit downtown by the harbour. while i was walking, i noticed an osprey carrying a meal to his family; the fish appeared to be flying underneath of the bird, and for a second i felt sorry for it was still alive.
ps- sometimes these birds get their talons stuck in too-large of a fish, and are dragged under and drowned. both may wash up on shore. Last edited by violaine; 04-23-2011 at 06:57 PM. |
