If being provacative is stating my opinon then so be it...i think that the wedding is a waste of time and money better spent elsewhere but i dont have to support a corrupt monarchy..just a corrupt plutocracy here in the us...

Stating an opinion isn't, in itself, provocative. However, if, in stating an opinion, you offend and ostracise, then it is provocative. That's what you did and, not only once but twice.

I don't have an issue with you over your support, or otherwise, for the monarchy or corruption or whatever / however you try to camouflage your earlier statements.

My issue is your sectarian and ethnic remarks about Northern Ireland and that's what I've called you out on. That's what I'll continue to call you out on. I've got your card marked.

Anyway, folks, back onto the main topic of the Royal Wedding and the big day ..... my guess, for what it's worth, is that the dress will be pretty and white ...

For those concerned about the cost of the Royal Wedding...

http://royalwedding.yahoo.com/blogs/...ys-the-bill-86

Pretty reasonable, I'd say, especially given the fact that many much needed millions will be coming into the UK as a result of the wedding and, indirectly, 'feeding the hungry'.

Not being sarcastic here, I'm really not, but I guess it's hard to understand why the wedding is a good thing unless you have a real royal family of your own as opposed to a culture strewn with wannabes such as Paris Hilton.

i enjoy watching your Royals, but am a happy to live in a republic. No royal family envy for me anyway.

i can't argue with the Paris Hilton comment. Her dog is cute though. Cuter than the corgis, in fact!

Man, the Obamas' portuguese water dog or whatever it is called is a homely creature though.

I can't say that I have any interest in staying up to watch it, although I may be up late enough to catch a few bits and pieces. I think the gf is planning on staying up for it though and I have a few friends that have mentioned either watching it or DVR'ing to watch later.

I am somewhat interested in the dress and looking forward to the news reports tomorrow. I'm sure I will be able to get my fill on the interwebs.

With all that being said, I do think it's very cool to hear about the different ways that people are celebrating this events. I've lost count of the number of local events that are happening, including the tea house in Seattle that is opening at 1 a.m. There's everything from breakfast at a local pub to some extra super fancy expensive, sold out the day after the date was announced, party. The radio station I listen to is also in contact with two local women who went there for the wedding and they've been giving live updates every few hours of where they are and what they are doing. That's been kind of fun.

I wish them well and keep my fingers crossed that the only thing that goes sideways during this event is maybe a few rain drops.

I don't think Paris wants to be anything she isn't.

Perhaps you'd understand that if you weren't navigating the strewn tea and inbreeding.

No sarcasm, really.

And I'm hardly the type to hoist an American flag--But your tone is just incredibly odd--Unless you're actually a member of the wedding--Why connect our lack of personal investment with tabloid headliners?

Maybe it's because you call it "football".

Huh?

Call me stupid, but I honestly have no idea what you're going on about. My tone? What tone?

Me too- the Paris Hilton's, Charlie Sheen's, and the rest of our drug & alcohol and celebrity and attention addicted youth are no match for those two. They both completed college, he serves his country and they are seriously involved in charity work. They also demonstrated maturity in living together before marrying and really thinking about the fact that they will never have an ordinary life together. It seemed to me that they wanted very much to include the people of Britain on their special day.

My feeling about them is that they will accept their duty as part of the proud British traditions seriously. I don't envy having to live a life under so much scrutiny every breathing moment.

It made me feel good to see Britain have a day of celebration for their heritage and traditions. I enjoyed the multitude of British reporters- their pride and joy and information about their history and customs. I like British reserve anyway.

And you bet, from the numbers of people in London celebrating, some businesses that really have been going through hard times, had a good week.
