I rarely make the same stew twice simply because I never have the same ingredients. LOL I have a head of cabbage that needs to be used so here is what I'm doing with it.
Arwen's Mock Irish Dinner
While meat is thawing, combine other ingredients in crockpot on low. Add meat and cover. Cook for 4-6 hours. At 45 minutes before I want to eat, I'm going to quarter the cabbage and add the wedges. If I really wanted this to be Irish stew, I'd go to the store and get potatoes. Yeah. That's so not happening. ![]() NOTE In an effort to cut down on dishes used and therefore water to wash them, I use the can from the tomatoes as my measuring tool. So a 1/2 can of wine means pour the wine in the can. ![]()
