Happy 4th of July to all of us! I was up talking to a friend until 1am this morning and I'm going home to take a nap after work today.

Happy Independence Day to all of you. Hope you are celebrating in whatever form is best for you. Just remember to do it in moderation. LOL

As I mentioned several posts back, we have friends coming over for a bbq today. They are supplying all the foods and my honey is doing the bbqing. I will volunteer for the clean up which should be minimal since the foods were prepared at our guest's home. I know the food, the fun, and the laughter will be great.

Thinking I should take a nap before our guests arrive.....

This is the beauty of Jo's kitchen. If you get here first, you can make the coffee...or do more...in Jo's words, we're real casual. Jo provides visual aides.

And if you cook, someone else will usually offer to clean up.....I was eating cereal right out of the box the other day......hope that's NOT too casual.

As long as you don't eat all the marshmallow goodies out of the Lucky Charms and leave the rest, I am okay with it.

Good morning everyone.

Rooster and I were up early today. His girlfriend came over to spend the day and, since her mom has to be to work about 7, we had to be up and dressed a bit early. Nice for them though....the girlfriend is leaving for a school trip to Australia for 3 weeks...and Rooster is leaving for a week in DC and then the rest of the summer with his father...so this is one of the last times they'll get to see each other until school resumes at the end of August.

So far they've shared breakfast, walked the dog around the block, had a little sword fight in the front yard (did I mention they're 13...lol)....and there may be swimming in the pool soon.

Coffee's on....help yourselves!
