I'm a facebook gamer. Or was until my class/work schedule got so hectic. I still play my farmville. I play that sims social game too. (Daywalker's mom is still my fav gaming friend on there cause she always sends the best stuff...lol) Mostly I just check into Starbucks, school, and different food places. Oh, and post lots of mobile uploads of food, my cat, my fam, and weird things I see along the way, to go along with my ranting, quirky status updates. lol If anyone wants to add me, just msg me and I'll let ya know how to find me.

So currently the question on Facebook regarding employment is, Would you give up your password or log in for an employer to check out your page? Why is this ok or not ok? Would you work for a company that does this?

Employers are at risk for discrimination claims if:

- the employer asks some, but not all, individuals for certain information (ie, Facebook passwords),
- the employer discovers bits of personal information (e.g. race, religion, sexual orientation, medical conditions or political views) that are typically made available on protected Facebook profiles or in personal conversations.

Because of this some companies have been asked to not ask for such information.

Is it legal for an employer to ask for my Facebook password?

There are no specific laws to protect the social networking privacy of employees and job applicants, though lawmakers in some US states have introduced bills to prohibit employers from requesting Facebook passwords. It can be an offense to use a computer to gain access to data you are not authorized to use.

Facebook’s has a Statement of Rights and Responsibilities. According to Section 4.8 of Facebook’s policy, “You will not share your password…let anyone else access your account, or do anything else that might jeopardize the security of your account.”

What can I do if I’m asked to give up my password?

Defend your rights. Ask about the company’s social media policy. Express your concerns about your legal rights, quote Facebook’s official policy, or just say no.

what is the funnest facebook game? i have to teach a 45-minute class on facebook soon and i cannot foresee how to fill that time without introducing games.

however...

i do not play any games

i don't play fb games either but i tried to play words with friends once (before i got really shy and socially anxious about it and stopped). i have a lot of friends who like it. it's basically like scrabble i think

haha. I play Sims once in a blue moon and log into words with friends there.
I just don't have the time though.. it's consuming and so much information and things to do there. Thats what you should discuss. LOL

.. maybe also how it's interactive with everything else on the internet, twitter, youtube, pinterest, etc..
