Jo's Kitchen (and yes, the coffee IS on...)

Good morning everyone

I'm the only one awake here...waiting for everyone else to get up and get moving. We're going to go out to breakfast, then up to my mom's farm to take care of a bunch of stuff for her, then back to the hospital to visit....busy day.

Mom is extremely thin...they have to take her blood pressure on her leg because her arm is too thin for the BP cuff...but she is still her old self. Conversation with the doctor will be later today, so we'll see how that goes.

Good morning everyone

Glad to see everyone is doing well. It's early, and I'm awake...rest of the house is sleeping, including the dog. It's our last day to visit Mom at the hospital, then on an early plane home tomorrow morning. Still lots of unanswered questions, simply because no one knows the answers...and an awful lot of this remains "wait and see."

For purely selfish reasons, I'm glad that my friend's camping trip was cancelled (their work commitments, bad weather, etc.)....because it's been truly wonderful to have them here. Night before last we ended up playing board games...Clue and then Aggravation...for a couple of hours and were laughing and being silly in a way that I haven't been able to in ages. Sometimes it's the goofy stuff that helps....not to mention knowing that they totally support us and care about us, period.

Hugs to you all, and I'll be back tomorrow.

Good Morning! After over 60 plus days of 100 degree weather, the fall weather feels wonderful. Red and I are waiting for my friends food truck to open for brunch. Chef Fermo recently moved back from Tulsa and I can't wait to have brunch. Today I am having her famous Filipino breakfast, fried eggs are garlic fried rice, yummmmyyyyy.

Good morning all!

Jo: The hardest part is the not knowing.

Yippee!!! We have absolutely no plans that require leaving the house today so we are going to get the pears and raspberries processed and frozen, along with other neglected things that need to get done.

The weather is great here this weekend, Zimmy is making me sad we are missing the Reunion, and it is time to get started using the day at home with the first load of laundry. Coffee is made and I am on my third cup.
