Honey, you and I must have been on the same page this weekend. My boo told me how much she wanted some chocolate chip cookies (you know the break apart kind). Well, I went ahead and bought them... yeah, 'cause SHE wanted them. Needless to say, I only baked 6 of them for us, but caught myself in full closet eating mode eating raw cookie dough in the kitchen while she was watching the football game. Ugh, why do I do this?! Anyway, later last night, I took a lil' quiet time to kind of put things back into perspective for myself. I did some journaling to ask: Why do I allow negative self talk to creep up? Why do I have those days that I allow myself to be my own worst enemy. I soaked in the bath tub, did some reading and woke up this morning refreshed and ready to start anew! Breakfast this morning was Special K with berries cereal and a small banana. I'm enjoying every drop of my cup of coffee with fat free sweet cream creamer. Today, lunch & dinner will be Subway since I have to work the 2nd job. I am so happy to see such success happening on a daily basis. Y'all totally ROCK! That's what keeps me coming back here every. single. day! Make it a great day healthy peeps

I baked pumpkin and lemon custard tarts for Thanksgiving dinner. But... I made sure I baked in the morning and put them into their containers as soon as I could before I was tempted to eat any. Then I sent the remainder home with my kids. And I only had two small tarts after supper. No gravy, no potatoes and no bread oh and no cheese. I did make yummy hummus to eat with the fresh cut up veges I brought. I was using my noggin' ![]() I am so new at trying to understand my emotional eating. If anyone has tips or inspiring stories I would happily take the encouragement.

Ok I started Atkins today, I gained about 10 pounds on that last round of Prednisone and it hasn't come off yet. Atkins works for me so here I go.
Was a good first day.

Is there anyone who would be interested in being my food journal partner?
We would 'report' what we are eating to each other, without feedback, sort of like the no crosstalk thread. I know that it doesn't work for me to think of my food behavior as good or bad, though I have a goal of eating and living healthier. I don't want my food journal partner to comment on what I am eating, nor will I comment on what my food journal partner is eating. If you think you might be interested, or if you have any questions, please do feel free to PM me. |

Anyone on weightwatchers online? Tell me what you think of it. I'm on nutrisystem and I'm getting bored with the food in the 2nd month this is not good so I'm looking into other alternatives. Will you help a planeteer?

Hey healthy friends,
Well....I had one of those days yesterday...fell off the healthy eating wagon and bounced along the ground for awhile. I'm back on track today, and working hard at not beating myself up for it. Old habits, eh? On the plus side, I did eat a magnificent huge salad for lunch.

Going on day 3 of Atkins, the Syr took me to dinner yesterday, enjoyed a cheeseburger and caesar salad, minus the bun and croutons... luckily the restaurants here use local beef and I am enjoying eating meat again.
I admit I am struggling with even being on a plan, but i feel less swollen and full of energy ! After only a couple of days my rings feel loose and my jeans aren't cutting me in half. I refused to buy a bigger size! |

I'm really not a "meetings" person, so WW online seemed a better fit for me. I weigh and measure myself at home. Like anything else the system is as effective as the energy and effort you put in to it. The first 2 months I was sooooooo diligent with tracking all of my food (every day) and my weight and my measurements (every week). And it was very effective -- using WW combined with increased exercise resulted in about 10lbs loss in the first 7weeks. I think the concept of WW is quite simple: When you hold yourself accountable for everything you eat/drink and the amount you eat/drink - you are likely to make better choices. By the third month I started slacking in terms of tracking, I'm still struggling to get myself back in the daily habit. I have no excuse for not doing it. I'm online for at least 4hours every week day. My weight loss has slowed - I have lost another 7lbs in the past 7weeks....but that is largely due to my significantly increased aerobic exercise. IF I could just get myself back in the habit of tracking on WW I think I'd be seeing more rapid weight loss. Concise version: I really like WW Online and I think it is very effective when I use it consistently.

Thank you for your input I appreciate it. I think that being consistent is the biggest and hardest thing to do. Especially me , I love to move my mouth... lol. I still have the book to help me with nutisystem, those tools are still useful to me. It's all about portion control , I'm gonna try still write everything down and be accountable ... I have plenty of food left for a month so it gives me time to see how I do before I venture out and waste more money. Ugh, this is truly a battle.
