I love love love Samhain. My kids are all grown but I loved taking them trick o' treating. When they got older and told me I could no longer come I was ssssssooooo sad. Every year I would dress up. I loved handing out candy. Sometimes I would negotiate such as... you give me your black licorice I will give your three candy bars, it actually worked a couple of times. But I live in a walk up apartment now and I don't get the thrill of scaring the little ones ![]() But I rallied... This year I am going as a Japanese Samurai woman named Toyoko. She has a chinese counterpart Li Chi ... so... I get to wear my boot knives, my throwing knives (Cause both characters slayed the snake/serpent with knives) a chain belt, and a TOTALLY comfortable costume. All white. I wish I knew more about Chinese and Japanese color symbolism. Is white their color for maidens as well? The only issue is that I would love to use black hair spray paint, but I dance like a mad woman and I am not willing to sacrifice my favortist white shirt for my costume. Next....
