Affirmations For Today

I will step off the merry go round that is my brain today and pause for 10 minutes. I deserve 10 minutes of judgment-free, worry-free, stress-free bliss. That's my gift to me, today.

Today is filled with opportunities for joy and appreciation. I am grateful for those people in my life who are perpetual reminders of why it is best to focus on joy and beauty. I will thank each of them out loud, in print and in my heart for all that they teach me.

Today I will stay firmly within my own hula hoop. I will let my joy be the most important thing to me. I won't allow any negative person to drag me down. I will be buoyant like a rubber duckie. Go ahead! Squeeze me for a happy sound. Seek joy, y'all. Pass it on!

Today I will celebrate the first day of the last month of 2011. I will reflect on my year-to-date. What successes? What failures? What joys? I am going to start today so I can add in anything I might have missed before the end of this year. It's the little things that count. I am a beautiful, blessed woman with a myriad of friends and family who intentionally and willingly choose to be in my life. Thank you. I seek joy and I find it in your hearts and hands that support and love me. Seek joy, y'all. Pass it on.
