MY BEAUTIFUL SUNSET
Walking along the shores Alone and deep in thought I realized then that I was far From where I wanted to be... The longer I walked Through the calm gentle waves That washed ashore I could feel myself Still no closer to my destination... I stopped and looked out to sea And discovered then that I would Never reach my sunset I will be chasing this sunset Till the end of time... I could feel the tears Begin to roll down my cheeks For I knew that in this conscious realization I had now surrendered The innocence of my eternal dream... You will always be my sunset I will always follow you And as each day passes And the glow of your light fades Into the dark of night Know that tomorrow is yet another day And I am walking the shores of life Forever chasing my beautiful sunset... |
