I hung my Cmas cards around my arched doorway. This house is so old and so caught in time. You would swear it looks like a Christmas card in and of itself with these cards hung!
I hung ice skates and huge red velvet ribbons off my front porch posts. So welcoming and dear... I made it a point to send Cmas cards to all my family, most of all my aunts and cousins who never keep contact with one another. I will be hosting some get togethers at rose cottage for all of us too this year. Family needs to keep in touch. Our connections make us real, whether its thru blood or chosen family... I am in the process of cleaning out my closet some more. I have way too many clothes for my life now and others can use them. I have started filling the bird feeders. I am also saving the tenders, juices, cartilages, skins, etc from meat to give to the wild ferral cats around my neighborhood. Many live in my garage and shed during the winter. If i were one of them, I would want an old lady to feed me her scraps too...

a warm, joyful christmas eve with lots of happy, loving people
hearing about the happy times my best friends had over the holidays having a very, very low key christmas day with a friend sleeping incredibly deeply last night and waking up refreshed walking a long the ocean in the sunshine a feeling of lightness and peace the most difficult puzzle ever (I love it) |

Cold weather and blue skies mean I get to wear my favorite coat and boots.
