O, The Oprah Magazine's
"Live Your Best Life" Walk
is taking over New York City!

Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, in partnership with L'Oréal Paris, is thrilled to be one of ten charity beneficiaries of this amazing walk.

Hosted by O, The Oprah Magazine, the walk will begin on the scenic Hudson River, at Pier 86, and will culminate in the heart of New York City at Times Square.

A celebration will take place at the end of the walk, with fun activities for participants of all ages.

We hope you will join us and thousands of others as we spend a beautiful morning walking for a cause in the Big Apple!

Sarah Sarai’s poems are charged with the terrible presence of the now and the dangerous fact of words. This is poetry as it should be. Scary, strange, generous, intensely in a physical world while illuminating an unimaginable spiritual world. This is writing that sings. The song it sings is the song of our hearts.

Adrienne Baldassano has, all too often, found hirself caught between male and female. Through hir poetry, ze seeks to find and define a space for all those who do not fit into binary oppositions, be it male/female, up/down, or past/future.

All motorcycles and all genders are welcome to join the NYC Sirens Women's MC leading the NYC Pride March down 5th Av. on Sunday June 27th. As always, the march kicks off at 12:00 noon.

Meet us on 41st St between 5th and Madison Aves. between 10:00 and 11:15 A.M. After that the police will start shutting down the streets.

You can help lead the New York City LGBT Pride March. Be a marshal and walk with the motorcycles that lead the march down 5th Avenue on Sunday, April 27th.

The Sirens Women’s Motorcycle Club has been leading the motorcycles at the front of the New York City LGBT Pride March every year since 1987. We’re expecting a record number of motorcycles from all over the country this year so we will need fifteen to twenty marshals to make it all work.

Please arrive at 41st St. between 5th and Madison Avenues by 10:30 A.M.

You may be called upon to:
*Walk along with the motorcycles
*Keep viewers out of the path of the bikes
*Assist anyone whose bike stalls
*Pass out water from the support van to thirsty bikers
*Assist communication from the front of the march to the back of the bikes
*Take turns carrying the Sirens banner
*Join the festivities at our end-of-march celebration

Brooklyn Pride is this Saturday. Look for me during the festival at either the Center for Anti-Violence Education table or the LGBTQ Task Force Against Partner Abuse table.
