While I agree that bagels and cream cheese belong in "five good things" but I don't think it is very simple. I have such a hard time finding just the right bagel. It has to be onion and it has to have just the right consistency. Not too breadish but not too hard either. Sometimes Kroger does them right but sometimes they are just too breadish. One would think that with a big chain they would be consistent

Simple, no, but just the right bagel and ahhhhhh yes, one of my five best things too.

half with cream cheese and half with butter (unsalted landolakes) and don't even think about toasting my bagel.
