I hate when you are driving towards a freeway on ramp in an unfamilar area and do not know which side the ramp will be on, until you get up to it. I always seem to be on the wrong side of the road. Then I have to drive up somewhere, turn around and back track, why can't they just put signs up before you get to the ramp to tell you left or right turn....
