What pissed you off today?

My daughter and I were in line at Vons Grocery store this morning. One register open, 5 people in line.

We were next.

A cashier walks up to us to tell us she is opening her register. We move over.

Behind me a man in his 50's and his son, literally shove me aside and dump their groceries down in front of ours.

I look at him and he says; "We only have a few things, you can wait". He and his son laugh like it was the funniest thing ever.

Rudest experience I have ever had. Ever.

Asshole.

I thought of several things I would have done reactively in this situation, but none of them would have changed the fact that they really probably are a couple of miserable people, and karma takes care of jerks like that. They probably sit around pissing and moaning about how much their life sucks, and not even attribute it to the fact that their behavior towards others is responsible for the shit on their doorstep.

Comeing back from the grosery store and finding out my mayo and cheese sause didnt make into the buggy,I had to go back and get new ones..free of corse as the store baggs and carries the stuff to the car.

And this.On monday when I was going to rehab I went in the side entrance insted of the frunt of the building,not far from there is the smokeing area for anyone who still smokes.As I passed a couple of employees of the hospitial made some really nasty fag comments as I walked by,I wasnt in the mood to deal with such jerks cause I was late already getting there.When I finaly got in to the rehab clinic lo and be hold two of the ashats were working in that department.Nothing was said by either of us untill one was assinged to my case that day and refused to assist the rehab tech( I think he was new and in some sort of training program) any how the tech told him to go to the office and wait for him..so while I was doint my exersise the boss came in.I can only gess at what was said to the kid but I do know I got an appology from the head of rehab and the kid and friends got walking papers on the spot.

army wives recently started portraying an interracial lesbian couple on the show a few episodes ago, and the backlash has been terrible. as a queer, a partner of two veterans, and somebody who goes to a christian church, reading the kinds of comments people have made is just...fucking wrong and hurtful. it's okay for my butch partner to risk his life, have his shoulder shattered while serving as a medic in iraq, and still suffer from ptsd years later, but god forbid he have a loving relationship with someone. the problem is the majority of the show's viewership is conservative, white, and christian, and the backlash will probably get it shut down in another season. (it doesn't help that they've also portrayed a latin@ couple and a black adopted kid born with hiv this season either.... there's been a lot of "i don't watch this show to see that kind of shit" comments about that, too.) i'm just angry. i'm angry at "christians" who are anything but christian. i'm angry that it's okay for queer and trans service members to risk their lives and sometimes give their lives for a bunch of fucking bigots, but god forbid queers have rights. god forbid we be portrayed as normal military families on television. i mean think of the children who'll be infected by seeing our queerness.
