May 25, 2006, I became a non smoker -
I picked the date - May, being my mother's birthday month and the 25th, being the date of christmas - My mother was laying in the hospital dying of cancer/COPD, and she begged me and my two younger sisters to stop smoking. I loved my cigarettes!! But, I decided this was so important to her, I was going to do it - and I didn't tell a soul, I just picked the date & did it. I gained 80 lbs in the process, but I certainly smell better. Good luck to all of you!! |

4 MONTHS SMOKE FREE TODAY........That is 4480 smokes so far I haven't put in my lungs !!!!

I want to lend my support to those who are trying to quit smoking... I know how hard it is! Keep up the good work, I promise it will get easier as time passes - not to mention you will feel so much better and get sick a whole lot less.
I will be celebrating my 2 year kick-the-habit mark come September (right around the time of the reunion!) How did I do it? I moved! I lived with other smokers and it is just about impossible to quit if there is someone else who is smoking inside the house. |
