I would like to say the following. I grew up with a grandmother who was 1/2 Cherokee and was scared to death to profess. I have always embraced my Cherokee heritage without receiving any of the benefits and have no problems with any of it. I have always been totally pissed off at the attitude that has been projected on the "American Indian".
