That said, and not trying to rain on your parade, but seems all rather whirlwind ie to marry someone five months after first meeting and meeting twice to date.

I guess everyone is different and I'm sure you both know what you're doing but I'm always nervous when I see people committing after such little real time interaction.

Just be aware that you know little about how people really are after two meetings and a lot of online time. That "madly in love" feeling is fun but it's a lot of work to keep it going. Choose well.

I am super excited, today! It is going to beautiful! I watered the lawn and flowers already, logged into work @ 5:00 a.m. and I may get to log off @ noon! woooooooooohoooooo!

Okay crushes, mine are mainly cerebral. I desire to know someone very, very well in person before I ever commit. I date, as in old school date. It takes, for me, at least 1-2 years of truly seeing, interacting and knowing an individual to decide IF they are someone I choose to commit to a monogamous relationship. If the mask slips off early on, I walk away. If there is a mask at all, I walk away. Sometimes things crop up after committing. It did for me.

I choose functional, healthy and interdependent rather than codependent relationships. I see where my last one went wrong. It takes time to grieve as well as to know another person. Don't get me wrong, crushes are a rush and fun.

I have wrestled with whether or not I should say something about this. I try to not be confrontational or to ever hurt anyone's feelings but in this case, I feel compelled.

I have been on the Planet for over a year now. I have watched some folks on their second and third loves in this past year.

We are such a minority within a minority with our butch-femme dynamic. When we meet someone that we connect with emotionally and sexually, it is such a rush of joy-it feels like it will last forever!

Particularly in the beginning, that meshing of souls, values, interests and sexual attraction, is intense!

Even if all of those factors remain in the long-term, who and what makes you as a person comes out, as time goes on. None of us were raised in exactly the same way! None of us handle joy, happiness, frustration, anger or life stressors in exactly the same way. Only in time do all of these sides of a person manifest. Whether or not one can deal with all of those sides of us as people, can only be learned in time.

I thought that the butch I am in love with and I started corresponding in October 2011 but I went back through old pm's and emails and it was last August, 2011. We have seen each other for up to a couple of weeks at a time each month since December, 2011. I am still learning about what makes her tick and she is still learning about me!

I was ready for the U-Haul a couple of months after we met but sanity prevailed. I am still ready but do have a job, house and family here and must make wise decisions, as does my butch. I am in this for the long-haul and since I waited 10 years to fall in love again, I can wait until all the ducks are in a row for us.

There are whirlwind romances that last forever. We all know this and know people that have done and are doing it successfully.

I've had one or two send me a message telling me this and even though I have no idea who they are or may not be interested, it is always a nice feeling. Flirting and crushes are a healthy way of releasing feelings and I think that's important.

BTW, for those looking for a strong, independent, take charge femme, y'all need to take a deeper look at Sachita. I happen to admire those qualities in her. For those qualities alone, I have crushed on her in a friendly way. Takes a lot to impress me and this femme is quite knowledgeable, so she does.
