To many times I have sacrificed myself to blend in been the chameleon to stay under the radar invisible insignificant if you can not see me you can not hurt me I learned early to please and avoid the blows never quite good enough to be loved or wanted disposable if I let the real me show who would want me was as if only the horses understood then that to was ripped away long time spent wandering in the dark a very lonely boi but then the shell it cracked I look in my daughters eyes and see I can stand I can be me strong proud true I have worth I am amazing but most of all I am me a cowboi a mother a lover a friend
