My bedside table is a two tiered bookcase, so there are many things on it.
These things include, but are not limited to: when I am sleeping, my cell with alarm set my glasses, when I am sleeping bottled water and its crystal coaster decorative box of tissues (current one has brightly colored flowers on each panel) beachside margarita candle a lovely glass figurine that glows in the dark a doll passed down to me from my stepmom a handmade card from a San Antonio coworker/friend a framed picture of a beautiful sunset by our very own dee_girl a couple of decorative boxes with miscellaneous stuff inside a plastic rectangular box that has butterflies in it a stuffed bear a framed picture of my mom and me some etched rocks a small Mississippi themed paperweight a select bunch of my books, mostly erotica but some artistic ones as well the remainder of the crystal coaster set a framed 'intimate' picture of myself, taken from a professional sitting I won on the radio years ago a deck of sassy Tarot cards a friend gave me a manual back massager (the four pronged type that fits in the palm of your hand) a glittery purple skull because I have yet to pack him away a dream journal the box with Willow Anastacia's ashes a bear that can be heated in the microwave and used as a heating pad propped up on the back of the bookcase because I haven't decided whether to frame it or not and where to put it, is a delicous print of Alice from Alice in Wonderland THIS very one, actually. Now that I HAVE one again.....
 Vaseline for my feet, baby oil for my skin, I bought a lamp for it finally, and then I will have whichever book I am reading on it also. Typically I have a hair tie and my cell phone on it too...at least when I am in bed... |

a framed picture of C and I on one of our first dates, a bottle of water, and my glasses.
Also, at C's house she thoughtfully placed a bedside table next to the bed on the side I sleep on so I have a safe place to place my glasses, bottle of water, and my cell phone. During the early months of our relationship, I resorted to the pile of motorcycle helmets that she stored on that side of the bed.

I've heard it said you can tell alot about a person by what they have in their medicine cabinet. Perhaps the same goes for ones night table
Due to the weird configration of my room, my night table is too far from my bed to serve the function it was designed for. Items i need have moved to my bed. nothing too interesting.(water bottles ,tv remotes, cell phone, brush, suitcase, key fob, laptop, box cutter) |

We don't have a bedside table as we like our mattress on our wooden floor (think Japanese style) so it'd be more like bedside space lol I have an assortment of books I'm reading - I like to read 2-3 books at a time, currently I have Me Talk Pretty One Day, Naked, and 2008 Lesbian Erotica, our mobile phones, a (empty) glass of water, TV remote, iPod shuffle, speakers, 2 pairs of eyeglasses (we both wear 'em) a candy/chocolate bar, ashtray, lighter and cigarettes.
