The 510 automatic kit that I recently recommended has dropped in price to 17.99, same price as the manual. http://www.free-cigs.com/510-A-Starter-Kit-_p_169.html I actually own this kit and use it to test flavors before I put the liquid into a more expensive tank or carto.

I use the tank atties which come with the t 510x kit. I use this unit as well, probably more and it's also an automatic (no button to push) - I got it for the same sale price. This one also has a cute little gem on each one on the *lit* end that changes between 7 colors - I *am* a total girlie girl, lol! This kit is only $23.99 right now and can also be used with other 510 items, not just the little tanks it comes with. Just so everyone knows, I'm suggesting these three kits from th same vendor not because I get anything out of it - just the knowledge I've helped someone starting out find good equipment.

I have the Totally Wicked Tornado Tank in lovely "titty pink"...does anyone know if you can put other manufacturers' fluids in this system?????

Also, I noticed on nomorerack.com they have a sale on e-cigs for only $8 and they last 600 puffs. Looking to buy some of those in March and will let y'all know if any good.

New to the e-cig world but the flavors I've tried so far are quite good for this system.

I'm positive your equipment will take any vendor's e-juice. I don't think any vendor can manufacture a limit; it's all similar hardware (battery, atomizer, cartridge/carto/clearo).

There's a lot of posts mentioned flavors and where folks buy juice.

I am totally new to this....and I have questions as I am doing internet searches on the topic:

1) Do the flavors contain nicotine? And if not, I see there is liquid nicotine available - Do you just add this to your flavor or do you use nicotine by itself?

2) Is the difference between a manual and automatic that the manual one only works when you press a button and therefore you waste less liquid than with an automatic one that doesn't shut off - same as a burning cigarette?

3) What do you guys recommend for a first time user - auto or manual and disposable or ?

Yes, the liquids/juices come with the nicotine in them, generally between 8 and 36m of liquid. Most commonly 12, 18, 24 mg strengths. You do NOT want to be touching liquid nicotine if you are new to this. It's there for people who've gotten the hang of things, are ok handling what they're vaping, and are prepared to blend nicotine flavorings (not the same as juices) and lab strength nicotine.

Dang, I never would've imagined there are so many varied products to vape. thanks to all who give info here. What the heck is a drip tip? And do they fir all brands of e-cigs?

I'm sure daisygirl can answer this better than I could, but here's what I've been able to gather while researching and vaping.

So short answer to your question: Depends on what type of e-cig setup you have.

Drip tips are used on cigs where you drip directly on to the atomizer (atty).

Okay, now what the blazes does that mean?

E-cigs are made of 2 (or 3) components, providing a few different e-liquid delivery methods.

The primary component is the battery. This is that automatic, manual, variable voltage thing. And batteries have threads that fit/screw into the next component (That's where you hear the 510, 808 stuff).

The next component is the atomizer - this heats the liquid to make the vapor. Its this + the e-liquid delivery that confused the hell out me.

The atomizer can be stand alone with a drip tip on it (so you drip a couple of drops on the atomizer) and vaporize the liquid directly. The drip tip is the mouthpiece

I've also seen atomizers that 'spike' into a cartridge that holds liquid, The exposed end of the cartridge is the mouthpiece.

Then there's the systems that combine the atomizer with a tank or cartridge that holds the e-liquid. In this, the atomizer does NOT stand alone.

I've seen the cartridges called cartomizers or cleromizers. The common thing with these is you put the liquid in the tank/carto/clearo.

I don't know if this helped or made it more confusing.
