If you're on Facespace, look for Lois the Tortoise and friend her! One of my knitting buddies is her Primary Minion. She's got awesome Tortoise Tude! She's a Redfoot, goes to work with the Minion a lot (she teaches, majored in science but recently worked with kindergarteners) and when her husband got a job with the military in Germany, Lois went with them!

Or if you're on Ravelry and are very brave, we have a LOIS thread in LSG. Please remember that LSG is an, erm, unique group on Ravelry. We're like a family reunion in Vegas, complete with drunkent Aunties, miscreant children and horribly inappropriate mothers. But we're mostly harmless and love our Chelonian and Fur-bearing overlords.
