I'm waiting until the 2nd or 3rd Gen versions come out. Additionally, the iPhone is being upgraded this summer to run on other carriers other than AT&T. (June/July 2010 apparently) so I'm waiting for that version before I get one.

My Motorola Razr is finally dying and I've decided that once the iPhone 4 comes out, I'm getting it. After reading the features I figure it'll be worth it. It's unfortunate it's still part of AT&T (who announced the recent cap on GB but it may still be fine):

Sweet! I order the iPhone this morning (after fighting for 3.5 hours trying to do an order). I should get it next week (hopefully, I can convince AT&T to route it to my work location).

I have an early macbook pro ... the ones that the batteries and power cords die often. other than that, I love it ... well, I've worn out the "e" and "i" keys completely, but I know where they are on the board *shrugs*. There is also an iPod, nearing 4 years old.

Recently, I started to buy an iPhone, but was determined to rid myself of AT&T forever, so I bought a Droid on sale at Best Buy. I can't figure out most of the functions, and the "instructional" booklet is a joke. So, I am going to make myself go back to BB and get bit by bit instructions on how to save a phone number, etc. I will say that the Droid takes fabulous photos with 8 mp available for use.

I am thinking that I will probably need to upgrade and get a new macbook pro next year. This one is my first ... I always wanted one because of the A-V features, but had to use a pc for work. Even with the lousy battery and cord life, which I understand is no longer a problem, I wouldn't give up the MB for anything! The iPod, however, I can live without... just not that technically savvy and it sits around for an occasional use.

I missed this whole thread. I did buy one on the day it came out.

I use it a fair amount, but I don't read on it. After taking it on a ten day trip and leaving my Kindle at home for the first time I really missed the Kindle.

So, Justin and I just bought an Apple TV and signed up for the hulu plus service. We are sick of paying DirecTV 100 bucks a month to only watch a few shows that we can stream in Hulu for 7.99 a month. The only issue I am having is streaming AirPlay from my iPad. We like big brother and can't get the CBS episodes to stream to the television. I can't find the airplay symbol since it is streaming directly from the CBS web page. Is there a way around this? Also, can you use AirPlay with YouTube?

Going to upgrade to new iPhone in September. I have loved my iPhone ! Also love my MacBook, upgrading to MAcBook Pro. Never had anything but an Apple as far as computers go.

I will be interested to see how you work this out. I will pick up an Apple TV unit mid-September (in case they make any changes, which I doubt), and will want to use it in a similar way with a Macbook air.

I think it's a safe bet that You tube will have to go through Mountain Lion since Google owns it.

Apple is playing nice with some outside content providers, but I don't see that one happening.

i've had a blackberry for about a year and its getting old ~ so i figure its time to get a new phone (likely next month) so why not get an iPhone

i do not have an iphone, though i do have a new smart phone and indeed, it is smarter than me. i just want to text and call people, my phone might be able to do my housework, i'm unsure .. i'm working my way up from my slide phone i had, lol!!

ANYway, Daddy bought me an Ipod, for running..
And i feel like i am joining the ranks in technology here, i have figured out how to use Itunes now with the help of some of Daddy's co-workers, and am sooooo happy listening to music on my runs now..i'm really loving itunes!

Glad for this thread though, incase i have questions!

I haven't been able to get on the spotify bandwagon yet. I like to stream pandora from my Bluetooth in my car and spotify requires a monthly fee (I believe). Everytime I have tried, I get blocked so I am not sure. I like using it at home though. I'll try to stream it on my apple tv today and see if it works while I am cleaning house! :-D

Chefhmboyrd and I have:
Ipod nano 2nd gen
Ipod touch (not the newest, the one before it)
Ipad 2
Macpro computer I lovingly call "the boat anchor" since it is huge and heavy.

I hope t-mobile has their sh!t together when Apple releases their latest iPhone, because I wants an iPhone bad.

I L O V E my ipad. Love - love - love it. Did I say how much I love my iPad?
It is the bomb for email, surfing the web, and any goofing off one could want to do. We won ours - the chef and his endless useless trivia knowledge and incredible knowledge of music made it happen.
Once you go through the initial Adobe flash withdrawal, which was short and painless, you will find your life useless without one.

I was considering buying a macbook but was going to end up spending about $3500 to get what I want. I got a drumset instead.

Don't have iPhones, and refuse to buy them.

But ... I do have a iPod Touch 4th Gen and I bought Mare an iPad 2 for Christmas and She hasn't put it down yet.

Not a big fan of iTunes when it comes to transferring music. I prefer the drag and drop of mp3 players, but you get used to it.

We don't do smartphones. I guess it just isn't needed. We don't text much and we can't justify paying for more phone than we need.
