Because she has done everything possible to make a weekend with her friends children as easy on me as possible knowing they would remind me of my nephews and nieces that I miss so much since I moved. Also simply because she tells me each and every day that she does.

I received a package from people I worked with for nineteen years (but haven't seen in two months) full of the kinds of things you send to someone you miss and care about and admire and respect. A care package. A love package. With a picture of all of these people holding a sign up that says they missed me.
