1. I like to drink out of a pretty, pink, sparkly Disney princess cup when I'm feeling low. I can see the bottom of the glass and all the little sparklies floating in it. Makes me smile.

2. I'm a bit of a sci-fi geek. With that said I have a small crush on Captain Jean Luc Picard (I think it's the bald thing with the accent. Who could resist?)

3. Whenever I eat fruit salad I share with my pup. She's especially fond of blueberries (they are high in antioxidants you know)

4. I am addicted to ID Discovery channel. However I tend to watch to much of it. This in turn causes me to be afraid of the world, which is not good, especially when I need to walk my pup at night. *blink*

I played viola in middle school and high school. First chair all the way through. Was accepted by two music schools for undergrad. Decided I wasn't as passionate about it as it would take to major in it.

I chew a lot of gum when I work. Orbit White Bubblemint. Nothing else. I had to chew Big Red the other day and I almost died. Really, I did.

I love kids but have never wanted to have any, even when I was wee. When I played house or Barbies I was never a mom. My childhood was less than stellar and didn't have a good role-model, so it scares me to death. Despite being told different by children of exs, I don't believe I am good parent material.

Cursing is a second language, check. I do tend to get angry a lot though, but it's Italian anger, so that makes it okay, right?

Obviously, YOU got the musical talent in the family. I am a musical spectator. One of the best, too!

Difficult childhood minus the TV after school special and Lifetime movie, check.

I also have the fear of not being a good role model as well as passing some nasty genetic material down the line. Unless something of the dark and horrible variety occurs, a baby will not set up house in my body.

I do, however, believe that you are made of the good parenting material. You bring it to work with you. Now, I honestly believe that if you were a parent and you continued the work you are doing now, that you would find yourself spiritually and emotionally depleted. So, it's good to do one or the other, imo. This way, you touch more lives and create a larger happy ripple.

* I sometimes obsess about what will happen to my childhood teddy bear when I die. He's real raggedy but his music box still works and he still has both his eyes.

* I think Diane Keeton looks like a mole-rat and cant watch any movies with her in them.

* One time, many years ago, a friend gave me a beautiful red sequined scarf when I was going through a really shitty time. It was one of the single-most thoughtful things anyone has ever done for me. I still sometimes take it out and wrap it around my neck and prance around when I want to remember how it felt for someone to finally "see" me.

I think that you could 'use' the roller coaster ride of the hormone influxes to help you become a fantastic assassin. The death of a dream is so disheartening.

I suggest an animated one where a bowler is releasing the ball and tucks his or her leg behind him. That always makes me smile. Of course, one where he or she is holding up their hands in a strike 'in your FACE, loser' formation would be nice too.

I finally embrace forgiveness as a means to be free of what has wounded me.

I made-up a morning chant for myself thanking the universe for rendering me a woman and in the configuration of the female that I am.... a butch.

I have religious/spiritual icons throughout my home. From Buddha to Mary. One favorite is a small statue of Saint Francis for my pets that my late partner gave me.

I celebrate the Day of the Dead annually.
