There will be lots of gratitude floating around, none of which is related to pilgrims. No turkey for us this year, we will be having pork tenderloin, and lots of pie, since she eschews the traditional birthday cake, and wants cherry pie, and I want a pumpkin pie, as well.

On Thanksgiving, I will be gumming mashed potatoes, gumming turkey and fixin's, and gumming a fruitless fruit pie.
Oh, and did I mention this old-folks home makes octogenarians sign a pledge of no salt, no fat, no sugar in ANY food material? And if said "food" needs a knife, forget it. One would think living as long as some of these seniors, their dang food would taste a tad better. On Thursday night, will any restaurant be open so I can have a "real" meal? Cheers everyone!
